By using the SyncUp mobile application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App. The term “us” or “we” refers to SyncUp, a technology company registered under the laws of Nigeria, with its principal place of business at Plot 52, Oko-ita Street, Maroko, PW, Kubwa, Abuja, Nigeria. In order to use the SyncUp app, you must agree to the terms and conditions that are set out below.
1.1 App Overview
SyncUp operates as a mobile platform providing various services, including but not limited to lecture scheduling, campus tours, virtual ID cards, marketplace access, announcements, and AI chatbot features. The App facilitates interactions between users (referred to as ‘Users’) and the platform services.
1.2 Contracts and Responsibilities
Users engage with the services provided through the SyncUp App. SyncUp is not responsible for any content uploaded by Users, and any agreements or transactions between Users and third parties are the sole responsibility of the involved parties.
2.1 User Accounts
Users must create and maintain accurate and updated accounts on the SyncUp App. Any misuse of accounts or unauthorized access is strictly prohibited.
2.2 App Functionality
Users are encouraged to explore and utilize all features of the SyncUp App responsibly and in accordance with these Terms and applicable laws.
2.2 Data Security
SyncUp employs industry-standard measures to protect User data and privacy. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials.
3.1 Compliance
Users agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using the SyncUp App. Any illegal or inappropriate activities are strictly prohibited.
3.2 Content
Users are solely responsible for the content they upload, share, or interact with on the SyncUp platform. SyncUp reserves the right to remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or community guidelines.
4.1 Data Collection
SyncUp collects and processes User data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. By using the App, Users consent to the collection and use of their data as described in the Privacy Policy.
4.2 Data Sharing
SyncUp may share User data with third-party service providers or as required by law. Users can review the Privacy Policy for details on data sharing practices.
5.1 Ownership
SyncUp retains ownership of all intellectual property rights related to the App and its services. Users may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any copyrighted materials without authorization.
5.2 User Content
Users grant SyncUp a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, modify, and distribute User-generated content within the App for the purpose of providing services.
6.1 Payment Methods
SyncUp offers various payment methods for premium services or transactions within the App. Users agree to abide by the payment terms and conditions specified
6.2 Refunds
Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis if users contact SyncUp with sufficient evidence and justification for the refund request. SyncUp reserves the right to assess refund requests and determine eligibility based on the circumstances. Users are encouraged to provide clear and comprehensive information when requesting refunds to facilitate the process.
6.3 In-App Wallet
The refunded amount will be credited directly to the User’s in-app wallet with immediate effect except for situations where there is a malfunctionality as a result of software instability or bugs.
SyncUp reserves the right to terminate or suspend User accounts that violate these Terms or pose a risk to the platform’s integrity or other Users.
SyncUp is not liable for any damages, losses, or disputes arising from User interactions or use of the App, except where prohibited by law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through arbitration or legal proceedings as per Nigerian laws.
SyncUp may update or modify these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of such changes, and continued use of the App implies acceptance of the updated Terms.
